IUS responded with two runs in the home half of the inning to notch the game at 4-4. Berea plated single runs in the 5th and 6th and held Southeast to a run in the bottom of the 6th to pick up the win. Lance Sheets (SR/Richmond, KY) tossed 3 1/3 innings of relief to pick up the win. Sheets scattered three hits and allowed just one unearned run. Berea grabbed an early 1-0 lead in game two and Cord Glass (FR/Glasgow, KY) was able to shut Southeast down through the first three frames. But the Grenadiers rallied in the bottom of the 4th, touching Glass up for three runs. The home team tallied two more in each of the next two innings to grab the 7-3 win. Akins homered and drove in all three Berea runs. Glass suffered the loss.
