Berea, KY- The women's basketball team played their first home USA South conference game on December 16 at 2:00 PM against Agnes Scott College. Berea started out with an impressive 19 point lead before allowing the Scotties to score with three and a half minutes left in the first quarter. Berea maintained the lead for the entire duration of the game to win by a score of 96-47. This win brought the Mountaineers record to 7-2 this season, and 2-1 in conference play.
At half time Berea led Agnes Scott 53-16. Bri Lanham led the Mountaineers by scoring 18 points. AD Williams was close behind with 17 points. Williams also led with 5 assists and 7 steals. Nakeisha Greene led in the team in rebounds with 9. Berea shot 43 percent from the field during the game, and shot 65 percent of their free throws.
The women hope to keep their home winning streak going as they take on Saint Mary of the Woods at Seabury Center on Monday, December 18 at 6:00 PM.
